This version of the Baqua is from the traditional Feng Shui School.
The design embodies the 8 elemental forces in nature represented by the Trigrams and the Yin Yang representing balance. Feng Shui is the practice of working with and balancing Chi, described as the universal invisible energy which flows through all things. Usually this balancing is applied to interior and exterior design principles and specific placement of objects within one's environment to effect the flow of Chi. and harmonize with the forces of nature.
